********************************************* The pictures you are about to see will be earning us top points in the race "Who's parents are the most redneck". Last year we built a beautiful deck on the front of the house, finishing it just in time for Steve to go to Beckley, West Virginia for 3 weeks. It was in the wee hours of the morning a few days before his departure that we realized, sitting straight up in bed at 4:00am "OH CRAP!!!! THERE IS NO WAY TO GET THE LAWN MOWER INTO THE FRONT YARD!) Hence we (by we I always mean Steve) cut a hole into the existing wood fence and inserted the no longer needed chainlink fence gate as an entrance to the front yard for the lawn mower. Please notice in the following picture however we(you know Steve) has put in two metal poles in preparation for the installation of a nice new gate. I will post pictures as it progresses.

Well just when you think that your redneck days are over another opportunity presents it's self. Necessity is truly the mother of invention. Steve has been fighting with the automatic thingy that starts and stops the lawn mower for the last 50,000 times he has mowed the grass. (I'm sure that is not an exaggeration, but you decide) well with Jared's encouragement (being one of the many other inventors in the family) Steve bypassed the thingy and made his own switch that actually lets you start the lawnmower without kicking it, and stop the lawnmower without kicking it the other direction. "TA DA" as Nara would say! You have a working lawnmower and a less frustrated mower person!!!! Well that's what's new with the Pillings!!!
