It was a special year to celebrate our pioneer heritage as we serve at a campground dedicated to recreating the trek experiences of our ancestors. It was an especially spiritual day having it fall on the Sabbath. The talks in Sacrament meeting were wonderful. I am recommitted to being a better pioneer for those who will come after me. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the plan of happiness and all who embrace it and make and keep it's covenants will have peace through any trial or hardship they are asked to endure in this life. I know Russell M. Nelson is our prophet today to give us the Lords counsel and I will strive harder to do those things he has asked us to do along with all the inspired counsel from the 12 Apostles and Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This covenant path is the way to true happiness and joy.

It was a hot day at Bing today. The temps this week are suppose to get to 114 so both of the treks that were supposed to come this week have cancelled. We have no more treks so we will bring everything in off the trails.
It was sad to not have treks this week as the spirit that the youth and their leaders bring is something we really look forward to. Watching them bond as families and hearing their testimonies after their trek experience strengthens us and makes all the ground keeping of Bing worth it. The youth who come to trek are the Lords noble and great ones for sure and the kingdom is in good hands.
